Announcing the 2025 Bloomberg American Health Fellows

June 16, 2025

The Bloomberg American Health Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is pleased to announce its ninth cohort of Bloomberg Fellows—60 individuals from across the country who are working to address some of the nation's most pressing public health challenges in five focus areas: addiction and overdose, adolescent health, environmental challenges, food systems for health, and violence.

Each fellow works for an organization engaged in making progress in one of these focus areas. Fifty fellows will receive full scholarships to pursue a Master of Public Health degree and ten to pursue a Doctor of Public Health. This years’ fellows come from 59 different organizations from across the country including The Burlington County Special Services School District, the Rapid City Police Department, and The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency.

The cohort brings the total number of fellows in the Bloomberg American Health Initiative to 448, covering 43 states, Washington, D.C. and 2 territories, and involving 351 organizations in these areas.
