The Addiction Science Team at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health (University of Missouri - Saint Louis) supports individuals who use drugs and communities most affected by addiction by distributing life-saving harm reduction supplies, delivering innovative and accessible training and education, and advancing research to inform responsive, evidence-based policies and practices across the continuum of prevention, treatment, and recovery. These efforts ensure that communities, rural and urban, are well educated and stocked with the tools they need to address the changing landscape of the drug supply in our communities. Through efforts across the state, spanning hundreds of key agencies, the Addiction Science Team promotes effective, compassionate responses to substance use across Missouri and the United States.
