Providing a break for recess for elementary and middle school children is a proven, low-cost strategy to boost their physical health, mental well-being, social development, and academic performance.
The Play, Policy, and Potential: A Toolkit to Support Advancing Recess in Schools Through State Laws Policy Package provides resources for developing state-level policies that support access to recess.
