Patrick DeLeon, LCSW-C is the Service Chief for the Addiction Treatment Services clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center – Bethesda. The clinic provides substance abuse assessment, individual and group co-occurring treatment for active-duty service members, veterans and family members. An important part of this work involves collaboration with military commands, other medical providers and family members. He’s involved in and enjoys the graduate medical education component of Walter Reed, providing guest lectures, consultation, and clinical observation for medical students, psychiatric residents, nurse practitioners and other disciplines. He has been at Walter Reed since 2013, and previously worked in residential, outpatient, drop-in, assertive community treatment, street outreach, harm reduction, and juvenile justice settings in the DC area, Vermont and San Francisco.
