Black Women for Wellness was established in 1997 to advocate, educate and empower Black women and girls’ on reproductive justice. Our work centers on eliminating health inequities by reducing systemic barriers and creating entry for equitable services/resources. Through our private and public cooperation, BWW advocates for system change through the development and support of administrative and legislative policy, as well implementing education campaigns that reach women and girls who have given up on access to quality health services. BWW's work includes a robust maternal and infant health program, environmental justice arm addressing the built environment, beauty justice focused on removal of harmful toxins, civic engagement education and outreach, as well our breast health initiatives. All of which focus on improving health and wellness outcomes for our communities.
