Michael Musharbash is an emergency physician at NYC Health + Hospitals and a clinical instructor of emergency medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is interested in the relationship between substance use disorders and infectious diseases, especially among sexual and gender minorities. Currently, his work focuses on expanding access to medications for alcohol use disorder throughout New York City’s public health system. As a Clinical Leadership Fellow at NYC Health + Hospitals, he works with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, pharmacists, and social workers to start patients across the health system’s emergency departments on naltrexone and link them to longitudinal care.
