Anna Vanderpoel is the Retail Specialist for the SNAP Produce Match (SPM) Program, part of the Fruit and Vegetable Incentives Program (FVIP) at the Washington State Department of Health. The SNAP Produce Match Program in Washington State helps Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants stretch their food budgets by providing additional funds to purchase fruits and vegetables. Administered by the Washington State Department of Health, this initiative is part of the broader Fruit and Vegetable Incentives Program, which aims to promote healthier eating habits among low-income families. As a Retail Specialist, Anna implements and coordinates the SPM Program, partners with retailers to offer the program, manages outreach efforts to increase participation, and ensures compliance with regulations.
