Emmie Mediate (she/her) is the U.S. Chief Program Officer at Health Care Without Harm. In this role, she oversees programmatic strategy and activities across climate mitigation, climate resilience, and health equity. Prior to joining Health Care Without Harm, Emmie coordinated COVID-19 response and recovery in the mid-Atlantic at the CDC Foundation and served as Chief of Staff at the American Flood Coalition. She has also worked as a research fellow on a USAID-funded project in Uganda and at the Baltimore City Health Department. Emmie graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies and Africana Studies. She also holds a Master of Science in Global Governance and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Emmie lives in Hampton, Virginia with her wife.
