Tricia Bautista, MD is a dual board-certified family medicine physician and addiction specialist serving as Medical Director of Substance Use Services at NYC Health + Hospitals/Correctional Health Services, where her commitments to addiction medicine, health equity and criminal justice reform converge. As Medical Director, Bautista oversees a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based and innovative substance use care across New York City's jails on Rikers Island, including medications for opioid, alcohol and stimulant use disorders, harm reduction services and an actively expanding peer advocacy program. Her work spans direct patient care, clinical program development and regulatory operations at the forefront of carceral health transformation, including the nation's first Outposted Therapeutic Housing Unit at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. A Bloomberg Fellow, incoming MPH candidate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Board member of the New York Society of Addiction Medicine, Bautista is committed to translating frontline clinical experience into population-level impact through policy, leadership and systems change.
