Susan Wismar

Bloomberg Fellow

As the Project Director of an OVW Campus grant, Susan supervises the strategies to address dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS) at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. The project is to create and facilitate a community-led strategic plan including comprehensive prevention, victim support, and accountability processes for DVSAS on campus.  Integral among the evidence-based strategy plan is the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT). Ms. Wismar recruits, organizes, and facilitates the CCRT which is composed of students, campus stakeholders, and partners from the community.  Susan is committed to making the tools of public health accessible for communities to address interpersonal violence by collectively designing prevention plans that include institutional policy change, trauma-informed practices, and measuring progress.
