Skye Witley is a reporter with Bloomberg Law, where he covers the legal and policy dimensions of food and health, with a focus on how the Trump administration is implementing “Make America Healthy Again” initiatives across federal agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration and the Agriculture Department. He previously covered Congress, authoring a weekly newsletter about the latest agricultural and nutrition developments influencing Washington policy. His reporting at Bloomberg has moved financial markets, been cited in state and federal courts, and revealed the lobbying campaigns of major companies. In 2022, Witley won an award from the White House Correspondents' Association for his investigation that uncovered a university’s distribution of counterfeit KN95 respirators during the Covid-19 pandemic, prompting media scrutiny of protective equipment procured by other universities and the District of Columbia’s government. Skye's participation in the Bloomberg American Health Initiative is funded by Johns Hopkins University.
