Paige Tetens is a Senior Research Associate at Everytown for Gun Safety. Since 2018, she has dedicated her career to studying the causes of and solutions to gun violence, producing research that informs policy and strategy. Tetens has conducted original research on topics including veteran firearm suicide, misogynist extremist violence, mass shootings, and Stand Your Ground laws. She oversees the organization’s real-time gun violence databases of gunfire on school grounds and unintentional shootings by children, leading data validation and historical data collection. Blending empirical analysis with the people behind the numbers, she sees research as a powerful tool for ending gun violence.
Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund is the education, research, and litigation arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than 10 million supporters and more than 700,000 donors. The Everytown Support Fund seeks to improve our understanding of the causes of gun violence and help to reduce it by conducting groundbreaking original research, developing evidence-based policies, communicating this knowledge to the American public, and advancing gun safety and gun violence prevention in communities and the courts.
