Maria Hamm

Maria Hamm serves as a Technical Assistance Manager for the University of Montana Public Health Training Center, where she provides training, technical assistance, and capacity-building support to Prevention Specialists and community partners across Montana on substance misuse prevention and adolescent health. Her work focuses on strengthening prevention systems, enhancing workforce development, and supporting evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches to improving public health outcomes. With a background in adolescent health, substance misuse prevention, and public health program implementation, Maria has extensive experience collaborating with state agencies, local organizations, and community partners to support prevention efforts and promote community well-being.

The Montana Public Health Training Center provides capacity-building and professional development opportunities for public health and healthcare professionals throughout Montana. The Center aims to strengthen the technical, scientific, managerial, and leadership competencies of Montana's current and future workforce.
