Kristin Mmari, DrPH, is Bloomberg Associate Professor of American Health in the Department of Population, Family, and Reproductive Health. She has been extensively trained in cross-cultural research, qualitative methods and analysis, and program evaluation; her work has focused on vulnerable adolescent populations, both domestically and internationally. Dr. Mmari is the Director of Qualitative and Implementation Research for the Global Early Adolescent Study (GEAS), and is a frequent consultant to several United Nations agencies, as well as to such local agencies as the Maryland Department of Health and Hygiene, Baltimore’s Promise, and Baltimore City’s Offices of Planning and Sustainability. She is affiliated with the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, the Center for Adolescent Health, the Center for Qualitative Studies in Health and Medicine, and the Urban Health Institute.
