Jen Pauliukonis

Bloomberg Fellow

As Director of Policy and Programming at the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, Jen is responsible for developing legislative priorities in states across the country. She provides and translates research for advocates, policy makers, and partners to support local efforts to enact evidence-informed policy throughout the country to reduce gun deaths and injuries. Prior to her work at the Center, she led a small, grassroots advocacy organization, Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence since 2015. Jen began volunteering in the gun violence prevention movement following the Sandy Hook School shooting in 2012.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions at the Bloomberg School of Public Health addresses gun violence as a public health emergency and utilizes objective, nonpartisan research to develop solutions which propel advocacy to measurably lower gun violence. It is the only combined research and advocacy center in the country. The team includes highly experienced researchers and public health trained advocates in the fields of policy, law, media, and implementation to drive effective and equitable solutions to save lives.
