Bloomberg Fellow

Jay Jeon is Chief Technology Officer at KindEd, where he leads platform development and the technical roadmap behind the organization’s student well-being, social media, and AI literacy platform for schools and families. His work focuses on building adaptive learning systems, behavioral insight tools, assessments, and analytics that enable schools to better understand student engagement, digital habits, and the role technology plays in youth well-being. He is also developing district and public-facing insight systems that connect student experiences with broader school climate and behavioral trends. Before joining KindEd, Jeon worked as a quantitative researcher and developer, building real-time machine learning models and large-scale data systems.

KindEd provides a social media and AI literacy platform to strengthen human agency. Using cognitive behavioral methods, systems thinking, and inquiry-based learning, the program builds self-awareness, positive digital habits, and critical thinking online. Students reflect on how engagement-driven technologies shape attention, relationships, learning, and health while developing shared norms for intentional use. With KindEd’s assessments and well-being analytics, educators can see the behavioral trends, school climate, and student experiences connected to device use. KindEd is creating an ecosystem of tools and resources for students, families, educators, and districts to support healthy development and strengthen long-term youth well-being in an increasingly algorithm-driven world.
