Caitlin Burke

Bloomberg Fellow

Caitlin Burke (she/her) is the Senior Director of Prevention and Impact at the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Marquette University before pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Her experiences of learning from her mother's work as a forensic nurse and leading a peer education group in college solidified her dedication to violence prevention and led to her decade-long career. Caitlin profoundly believes in the power of prevention and reimagining our world. She is an avid baker in her free time and a lifelong learner.

The Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence (OAESV) is a statewide coalition that supports rape crisis centers around the state of Ohio. OAESV uses an anti-oppression lens to advocate for comprehensive responses and rape crisis services for survivors and to empower communities to prevent sexual violence.
