He/Him
Bloomberg Fellow
Andre Moore serves as the Director of Compliance at Mile Square Health Center, where he helps strengthen systems that protect patients, staff, and the organization. His work includes compliance oversight, risk management, privacy, investigations, policy review, board reporting, and regulatory readiness for a Federally Qualified Health Center. His focus area is violence, which I view as both a public health issue and a systems issue. Violence affects patient safety, staff safety, trauma, access to care, trust, and how health centers respond to the communities they serve. In his role, Moore supports safer reporting processes, clear documentation, stronger internal controls, and better coordination across clinical, legal, administrative, and risk teams. Through this work, he aims to help build a health care environment that responds to violence with structure, compassion, and consistency.
Mile Square Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center within the University of Illinois Health enterprise and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. For more than 50 years, Mile Square has provided high quality, community based care to patients in underserved communities. Its work focuses on expanding access to care, improving health outcomes, and supporting patients who face barriers related to income, insurance, transportation, safety, and other social needs. Mile Square serves 46 of Chicago’s 77 community areas, the near west suburbs of Berwyn and Cicero, and Rockford, Illinois. Today, the FQHC includes seven primary care clinics, four school based health centers, and the only urgent care clinic in the Illinois Medical District. Through this work, Mile Square advances prevention, health equity, and patient centered care.
