Aisha Matthew is the Director of Regulatory & Accreditation at Episcopal Health Services (EHS), as of February 2025. In this position she advances EHS’ mission, vision and values of providing high-quality, value-based and culturally sensitive care. This includes maintaining a comprehensive survey readiness program that promotes patient safety and high reliability. Thus, leading, facilitating and supporting organization and system level programs and projects integral to standardizing safe clinical practices and sustaining regulatory compliance. As a healthcare professional, Ms. Matthew has over 18 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement and Health Policy.
Episcopal Health Services is a comprehensive health system situated on the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, New York. Serving a culturally diverse, densely populated and medically underserved population, EHS includes St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, St. John’s Medical Group, the St. John’s ICARE Foundation and Innovative Health Providers. St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, is a 257-bed facility that provides individuals of all faiths and backgrounds with comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitative services, regardless of ability to pay. Beyond clinical care, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital actively engages with the community to enhance health outcomes and quality of life. Outreach efforts encompass screenings for behavioral health issues and chronic conditions, in addition to health insurance information sessions, social work, and nutrition counseling. Further, the hospital’s Speaker’s Bureau connects healthcare professionals with community organizations to deliver education on a wide range of topics, from childbirth and parenting to substance misuse and emergency care.
