A new study published in the American Journal of Public Health details an innovative survey technique that was used to estimate the number of people who use injection drugs in Cabell County, West Virginia. Public health officials can use the method to help tailor service needs in their own rural communities to address the opioid epidemic.
The study was led by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in collaboration with the Cabell-Huntington (WV) Health Department. Learn more.
