Robert Fyda

Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) is a nationally accredited and award-winning health department. The organization's Environmental Health Services (EHS) division ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws regulating food, waste, water, vector and other areas of public health in Washoe County. EHS maintains strong education components, promoting a collaborative approach with industry to meet established public health goals at the local and national levels. The EHS division's goal is to create a healthier environment that allows people to safely enjoy everything the county has to offer by protecting people from negative environmental impacts.

Robert Fyda serves as the Division Director for Environmental Health Services who organizes, directs, and provides leadership for the Environmental Health Services Division of the Washoe County Health District. Programs. The position provides high level leadership and direction regarding regulations, strategies, and related issues and covers a variety of specialties including water, liquid waste, solid waste, vector borne diseases, and food establishments.
