Dr. Daniel Webster directs the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research, and the Johns Hopkins-Baltimore Collaborative for Violence Reduction. He became the inaugural Bloomberg Professor of American Health in 2018 and is one of the nation’s leading experts in the prevention of gun violence. He has studied the impacts of individual state gun policies, Cure Violence community interventions and law enforcement practices focused on guns. Dr. Webster was also the lead editor and contributor of the 2013 Johns Hopkins University Press book, “Reducing Gun Violence in America: Informing Policy and Evidence and Analysis.”
