Caitlin Hoffman

Initiative Team Member

Caitlin Hoffman is a public health communications professional with over a decade of experience in strategic communications, research translation, and evaluation. She develops content tailored to the media, government officials, community organizations, healthcare professionals, and the public. Before joining the Bloomberg American Health Initiative in October 2023, she led communications for the Department of Health Policy and Management, including the Center for Gun Violence Solutions, at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

She has conducted original research on health communication strategies and presented her work at national conferences. Caitlin is passionate about translating evidence-based research into practice, using data to drive policy change, and emphasizing the importance of effective communication strategies. She comes to Hopkins after working for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Caitlin earned her BA in public relations and Spanish from Pennsylvania State University and an Masters of Public Health from Emory University.
